New GyroSet Wheelchair Control System, Boon for Those Paralyzed Neck Down Jul 13th 2013, 05:52 Those who are paralyzed neck down have limited number of options to control their wheelchairs. Some of the available controls have huge disadvantages-for instance, joysticks located next to the chin are not very comfortable to use. This can make the wheelchair movement jerky. GyroSet, is a system developed by M�rton Juh�sz and Now Technologies and is an Android tablet-powered system which enables a person to use his head to direct the wheelchair. The users wear a head set that can find the position of the head and this data is sent to a tablet which interprets the movements and sends signals to the electric wheelchair.
