Man Who Couldn't Sit Down for 2 Years Aug 11th 2013, 06:21 Peter Cartwright use to travel 76-mile commute from home in Burley, Wharfdale to his office in Cheshire while standing. He used to work his 12-hour shift as an IT consultant at a specially raised desk. The 50-year-old then used to stand while his family ate around the dinner table and while visiting his brother in Australia, he remained in standing position for most of the 24-hour flight, the Daily Star reported. However, thanks to a simple remote control button, his life has changed drastically. In May, Dr Ganesan Baranidharan implanted a spinal cord stimulator at the top of Peter's buttock with the help of which he can control his pain at the touch of a button. Source-ANI
