Jacqui Beck, 19, was told two years ago that she suffered from a rare condition called MRKH, or Mllerian agenesis, which meant that she had no womb, cervix or vaginal opening. Jacqui said that she had a 'dimple' in the place where her vaginal opening should be and hence did not detect the problem earlier. It was only when Jacqui told her doctor, whom she was seeing for a lower back pain, that she still hadn't had her first period that she underwent a series of tests before her condition was identified.

She then received specialist treatment at the Queen Charlotte and Chelsea hospital in London and also met up with a network of other women who have the same condition. She also received treatment through which her vaginal canal was stretched and is now able to have intercourse when she chooses.

Jacqui added that her condition could help her meet up with the right man. "If he has a problem with it, then he's not the kind of guy I want to go out with. I'm a hopeless romantic and I see it as a great test of someone's character. Instead of focusing on it putting off men, I actually think it will help me find, "the one"", she said.
