Increase in Neck and Back Pain in Young People Due to Sedentary Lifestyle
Aug 30th 2013, 19:32

Sitting for long periods has aggravated the problem and nearly one third of 16 to 34 year olds are victims of leg and back pain. It is important to adopt an active lifestyle which helps in reducing pain.

The British Chiropractic Association (BCA) has issued a word of caution that sedentary lifestyles have led to back and neck pain.

BCA chiropractor Tim Hutchful said: "We are seeing more and more people under the age of thirty five with back and neck pain because of the increasingly sedentary lives they lead. It's really important that young people understand the importance of keeping Active and seek help from an expert if they are in pain."

The BCA is also advising people with such pain to seek clinical advice as soon as they experience any pain as such conditions if left untreated could lead to worsening of symptoms.
