The company revealed that it has recalled three lots of the drops after detecting the presence of plastic particles during the manufacturing of the fourth lot, which was undistributed.
It added that the plastic particles contamination came from a shipment from a third party supplier of ibuprofen, which is a major component of the drops.
Apart from recalling the lots, J&J has also suggested customers who purchased drops belonging to the recalled lots to pour away the drops and contact the company through the helpline, 1-877-414-7709, to receive refunds.
