This honey helped heal wounds and ulcers, including those infected with the superbug MRSA. It was found to be helpful for women after childbirth through C-section as it helped heal the wounds faster.
Dr Matthew Dryden, consultant microbiologist at the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: 'It will revolutionize wound care around the world. I found Surgihoney better for treating every type of bug. So for the past year I have been using it on patients and the results have been amazing.'
It will take a while for this honey to be commercially available.
